O Antiphons

Antiphons - December 17 - 23

December 17 marks the beginning of the "O" Antiphons, the seven jewels of our liturgy, dating back to the fourth century, one for each day until Christmas Eve. These antiphons address Christ with seven magnificent Messianic titles, based on the Old Testament prophecies and types of Christ. The antiphons beg God with mounting impatience to come and save His people.

Christmas Rectory Open House—Monday, December 30, 6-8pm:

Fr. Bateman and Fr. Fischer invite you all to stop by the rectory at St. Patrick (219 S. Beaver Street in York City) on Monday, December30 between 6-8pm for a Rectory Open House. There will be snacks and goodies and Father Bateman will be making his great-grandmother’s eggnog recipe (you might want to bring a designated driver). Come and enjoy some Christmas cheer with your priests and parishioners from our Partner Parishes and take a look around the rectory.
